Kirkstall
Kirkstall, formerly a historic village is now a thriving suburb
of Leeds. It is quite unique in possessing a 12th century Cistercian
monastery in a picturesque riverside setting. Kirkstall Abbey
is a truly fascinating insight into monastic life and the amount
of detail surviving is incredible.
Kirkstall Valley is also one of Leeds best kept secrets, and
is sandwiched between Armley, Burley and Kirkstall. The Leeds
and Liverpool canal runs through the town and part of it has
now been converted into a narrowboat marina. Kirkstall
& City of Leeds
The city centre of Leeds lies only 3 miles from Kirkstall and
has easy access to the A1(M) and the M62.There are also excellent
national railway links to all cities as well as Leeds Bradford

Entertainment and Nightlife
As well as having a popular shopping area, Kirkstall is also
home to Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Tykes training academy. There
is also a large entertainment complex, with a cinema, gym and
many different restaurants in and around the immediate area.
Leeds is one of Britain’s fastest growing and most dynamic
cities. As well as the huge variety of bars and restaurants
in the city centre, Leeds is also famous for its shops and boasts
the first Harvey Nichols to open in the North as well as Granary
